    @John Wilson You have changed my hotmail to Outlook. I have a MacBook Pro and I cannot see 'Outlook' on the menu bar so that I can find out which version of Outlook you have changed me to!

    This is pretty close, though of course you should title it 'How to determine which Outlook version number I’m using [b]if I'm not using a Mac[/b]?'
    But having to know the version you have before you can determine the version you have limits its functionality somewhat, dontchathink?

    If you have [b]Help [/b]on your menu bar, click[b] Help / About Microsoft Outlook[/b] to obtain the version, 2003 or 2007.
    Otherwise, click [b]File[/b] on your menu bar.
